Last 9th of May, the sixth graders of the school had to take a Cambridge test.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There were two groups: the people who were taking the KET (Key English Test), and the people who were taking the PET test (Preliminary English Test).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people who were taking the KET test (A2)  had 1 hour and a half to do the Reading and Writing and 30 minutes to do the Listening. People who were doing the PET test had 45 minutes to do Reading and another 45 minutes to the Writing. There were 30 minutes to do the Listening.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

KET:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The people who were doing the KET test did the Reading and Writing together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Reading there were 4 parts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Writing part,  they had to write an e-mail to someone following the notes that the paper had and it had to have around 35 words,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in the second part, they had to choose between an article or a story in wich they gave the the first sentence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And in the final part, the Listening, they had to look at three pictures and choose wich one is correct. In the next part , they had to listen to an audio and answer the question that were written in the answer sheet, and they had to choose A, B or C. In another part, they had to listen to a conversation and fill in the blanks. And in part 5, they listened to a conversation and match up some information.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PET:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the PET exam, the first thing they did was the listening. The first part was to read the question from the sheet, listen, and choose either A, B or C, depending on wich one we thought was correct.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Then there was a 10 minute break to go to the bathroom, drink water…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After that, we did the reading, wich was 45 minutes long.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And finally, the last part, the writing, was the same as the KEt exam, only it had to be around 100 words.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of the sixth graders thought it was easy, and were all pretty sure we\u00b4re going to pass.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
