30J School Day of Non-violence and Peace (DENIP)
Education in and for tolerance, solidarity, harmony, respect for human rights, non-violence, and peace are reasons to remember January 30. On Peace Day, educational centers commit themselves as defenders of peace and understanding between people of different backgrounds and ways of thinking.
This day marks the anniversary of the death of Mahatma Gandhi (India, 1869-1948), a pacifist leader who defended and promoted non-violence and peaceful resistance in the face of injustice and who was assassinated for defending these ideas.
Through the 4th issue of Together Magazine, our digital magazine, we work with our junior ambassador 4ESO students to provide an education inspired by a culture of non-violence, peace, and good treatment, allowing our students to acquire knowledge, attitudes, and skills that reinforce their development as critical global citizens committed to their rights and those of others.
This new edition, developed within the framework of the European Parliament Ambassador School (EPAS) project, was only possible thanks to the involvement of more than 40 EPAS schools from different countries.
To all of them, our sincere thanks for helping to make this magazine the voice of young Europeans.
