It is also the date in 1989 when the UN General Assembly adopted the Convention on the Rights of the Child.<\/p>\n<p>World Children\u2019s Day was first established in 1954 as Universal Children&#8217;s Day and is celebrated on 20 November each year to promote international togetherness, awareness among children worldwide, and improving children&#8217;s welfare.<\/p>\n<p>In IES Elisa Soriano Fischer we\u2019ve celebrated this day with our students. Some of them had a presentation about the history of World Children\u2019s Day, the goals and their rights in having a great education and healthy life. They chose one of the rights and wrote it on hands that were then placed surrounding the earth that Shaira had designed.
