{"id":6003,"date":"2022-11-23T21:08:29","date_gmt":"2022-11-23T20:08:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/site.educa.madrid.org\/ies.infantaelena.galapagar\/?p=6003"},"modified":"2022-11-23T21:08:30","modified_gmt":"2022-11-23T20:08:30","slug":"intercambio-con-inglaterra-del-11-al-18-de-noviembre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/site.educa.madrid.org\/ies.infantaelena.galapagar\/novedades\/intercambio-con-inglaterra-del-11-al-18-de-noviembre\/","title":{"rendered":"Intercambio con Inglaterra: del 11 al 18 de noviembre"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"pl-6003\"  class=\"panel-layout\" ><div id=\"pg-6003-0\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-6003-0-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-6003-0-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"0\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>Last week, 20 students of 3\u00baESO took part in our Exchange Program with England, which has been taking place in our school for more than 12 years, in collaboration with Denmark Road High School in Gloucester.<\/p>\n<p>It was a fantastic week, full of activities and those students who travelled to England were able to share time with their host families, practice a lot of English and visit several cities&#8230; they even visited two different countries!<\/p>\n<p>We walked around London, got on the London Eye and visited some of the most important monuments of this giant and fascinating metropolis, where so many amazing stories have taken place.\u00a0 We immersed ourselves in international cuisine in ZaZa Bazaar in Bristol and walked the cloisters of Gloucester Cathedral, where some of the most famous scenes from the Harry Potter films were shot. We crossed the Severn river into Wales and visited Cardiff Castle, a place full of history and stunning rooms. Finally, we finished our trip at the Roman Baths in the beautiful city of Bath and, even though we couldn&#8217;t swim in the thermal waters, we could easily imagine what it must have been like to use them thousands of years ago.<\/p>\n<p>And yet, the best part of the trip wasn&#8217;t visiting cities or monuments, but the friendships and bonds that were made between our students and the English students.\u00a0 They went bowling, went crazy with karaoke, walked around the English countryside, celebrated surprise birthday parties and got along so well&#8230;. that some of our boys and girls didn&#8217;t want to come back home!<\/p>\n<p>Now, we only have to wait for the second part of the Exchange, when the girls from Denmark Road High School visit us in February because it&#8217;ll be our turn to show them our hospitality and how beautiful Madrid and its surroundings are.\u00a0 However, we are completely sure that they will find the best things inside our school.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-6003-1\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-6003-1-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\" ><\/div><div id=\"pgc-6003-1-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-mobile-last\" ><div id=\"panel-6003-1-1-0\" class=\"widget_text so-panel widget widget_custom_html panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"1\" ><div class=\"textwidget custom-html-widget\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/mediateca.educa.madrid.org\/video\/zjitg3t7ldy9ecl2\/fs\" width=\"550\" height=\"350\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\" style=\"border:0;overflow:hidden\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-6003-1-2\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell panel-grid-cell-empty\" ><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-6003-2\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-no-style\" ><div id=\"pgc-6003-2-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-6003-2-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_text panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"2\" >\t\t\t<div class=\"textwidget\"><p>La semana pasada, 20 alumnos y alumnas de 3\u00baESO participaron en el Intercambio con Inglaterra, un proyecto que lleva organiz\u00e1ndose en nuestro centro desde hace m\u00e1s de 12 a\u00f1os con las estudiantes del instituto Denmark Road High School, en Gloucester.<\/p>\n<p>Ha sido una semana fant\u00e1stica y muy completa, en la que los chicos y chicas que han viajado a Inglaterra han compartido tiempo en familias, han practicado Ingl\u00e9s y han visitado varias ciudades&#8230;. de hecho, \u00a1han visitado hasta dos pa\u00edses!<\/p>\n<p>Paseamos por Londres, montamos en el London Eye y visitamos algunos de los monumentos m\u00e1s importantes de esta fascinante y gigantesca metr\u00f3poli, protagonista de tantas historias maravillosas.\u00a0 Nos empapamos de la gastronom\u00eda m\u00e1s internacional en ZaZa Bazaar en Bristol y caminamos por los pasillos del claustro de la catedral de Gloucester, los mismos en los que se rodaron algunas famosas escenas de Harry Potter.\u00a0 Cruzamos el r\u00edo Severn para entrar al pa\u00eds de Gales y visitamos el castillo de Cardiff, un lugar lleno de historias y habitaciones espectaculares.\u00a0 Finalmente, terminamos el viaje en los Ba\u00f1os Romanos de Bath y, aunque no pudimos sumergirnos en las aguas terminales, pudimos imaginarnos a la perfecci\u00f3n c\u00f3mo debi\u00f3 ser utilizarlos hace miles de a\u00f1os.<\/p>\n<p>Y, a\u00fan as\u00ed, lo mejor de todo no fueron las ciudades ni los monumentos, sino las amistades que han hecho entre ellos y con las alumnas de Gloucester.\u00a0 Fueron a la bolera, lo dieron todo en el karaoke, pasearon por la campi\u00f1a inglesa, celebraron cumplea\u00f1os sorpresa y se cogieron tanto cari\u00f1o&#8230; \u00a1que algunos y algunas no quer\u00edan volver a casa!<\/p>\n<p>Ahora solo queda esperar la segunda parte del Intercambio, cuando las chicas del DRHS nos visiten en Febrero y nos toque a todos nosotros dedicarles nuestra hospitalidad y ense\u00f1arles todo lo bonito que tenemos en Madrid y sus alrededores.\u00a0 Aunque lo mejor, sin duda alguna, lo encontrar\u00e1n en nuestro centro.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, 20 students of 3\u00baESO took part in our Exchange Program with England, which has been taking place in our school for more than 12 years, in collaboration with Denmark Road High School in Gloucester.
