GLOBAL CLASSROOM CURSO 2024\/25<\/h2>\n

Hi, we are Sof\u00eda Matas and Sof\u00eda G\u00f3mez and last year we participated in Global Classroom, a program where the students represent different countries and debate various global topics. In our case we were assigned Liberia and the issues we had to discuss included drugs, censorship, illiteracy and totalitarism. There was also a prize if you won; a paid trip to see the real UNESCO meeting! We were nervous at first doing our speech but despite that, it was an unforgettable experience where we not only learned about Liberia\u00b4s culture but also improved our speaking skills and teamwork. Overall, it was a unique opportunity that gave us a new perspective of the world we live in, and we highly recommend it.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Global Classroom is an activity carried out with the help of assistants during class time, but separate from the regular class. It’s a type of debate in which topics such as human rights are discussed. We went to Madrid to participate with people from other schools. It was very interesting to see the point of view of other students, as well as to meet people who thought like us and to find solutions together to the proposed problems. Our proposed topics were threads of freedom (drugs, illiteracy, censorship, and totalitarianism). We had the opportunity to make friends and acquire debate and problem-solving skills that will be very useful. Besides, we didn’t go to class that day.<\/span><\/p>\n
