Hemos estado trabajando en el proyecto Climate Detectives, con el objetivo de investigar un problema relacionado con el medioambiente.<\/p>\n<p>Sabemos que siempre se habla de lo negativo que es el tr\u00e1fico y de sus consecuencias para el aire que respiramos o para el cambio clim\u00e1tico. Sin embargo, rara vez se menciona su posible efecto en algo que vemos todos los d\u00edas: las plantas que crecen junto a carreteras y autov\u00edas.<\/p>\n<p>\u00bfRealmente les afecta la contaminaci\u00f3n del tr\u00e1fico? \u00bfTiene un efecto directo sobre sus hojas? Y si es as\u00ed, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 seguimos viendo plantas crecer cerca de las carreteras?<\/p>\n<p>Con el objetivo de responder a estas preguntas y otras m\u00e1s, hemos investigado utilizando im\u00e1genes de sat\u00e9lite para analizar la contaminaci\u00f3n en diferentes zonas de Madrid y el estado de salud de sus plantas seg\u00fan el NDVI, utilizando la herramienta Copernicus Browser.<\/p>\n<p>Para experimentar, hemos comparado dos zonas que difieren en niveles de contaminaci\u00f3n: Colmenar Viejo y Vallecas. Hemos realizado un an\u00e1lisis espectrofotom\u00e9trico de muestras de cada zona para comparar sus contenidos de clorofila mediante un espectrofot\u00f3metro.
