Information in English

Welcome to CEIPSO Gabriela Mistral

A state bilingual school in Las Tablas, Madrid, for children aged 3 to 14. Here you will find the key information for families. The rest of the website is in Spanish, and the school office is happy to help.

About us

We teach Infant Education (ages 3–6), Primary Education (ages 6–12) and the first two years of Secondary Education, 1º and 2º ESO (ages 12–14). Children can stay at the same school for eleven years.

We have two classes in each year group. Robotics is part of the timetable.

Pupils whose first language is not Spanish get extra Spanish support to help them settle in.

Our bilingual programme

We are part of the Comunidad de Madrid Bilingual Programme (Spanish–English), from Infant to 2º ESO. Pupils learn English and study other subjects in English, such as Science, Arts and Crafts and Physical Education.

In April 2026, 98% of our Year 6 pupils passed the official Cambridge exams (A2 Key and B1 Preliminary). See results (in Spanish)

We take part in eTwinning projects with schools in Europe and have a twin school abroad.
