Along the 3rd term, students will read two English books. Some of the students took a new book at school. In order to have a second book and for those who did not take any books at school there are two options:
1.- If you have children’s books at home, you can email the information about the book to me and I’ll check if it’s ok for you.
2.- If you don’t have any books, you can go to the following web page and access as you can see in the video. This way, it’s possible to read and listen to the story at the same time.

Once the book is finished, you’ll have to write a book report and email it to me. I’d appreciate it if you could type the report instead of writing it on your notebook .
- Title.
- Author.
- Main characters.
- 10 important facts in chronological order (10 eventos importantes en la historia contados cronológicamente).
- Opinion. (Ex: I think this book is + adjectives. I recommend this book for children who like adventures).
- New vocabulary.
Due dates:
- Book review 1: 21st of April 2020.
- Book review 2: 12th of May 2020.
Recommendations:
- Create a reading routine, for example, 10-15 minutes Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
- Write the words you look up in the dictionary every day.
- Listen to the story.
Why do we do this activity?
- To improve your reading comprehension.
- To be aware of the pronunciation of what you are reading.
- To practice pronunciation.
- To learn new vocabulary.
- To recognize the main events in the plot.
- To identify the main characters and the setting of the story.
- To write summaries.
- To give opinions and make recommendations.
