Safari de Arte Urbano en Lavapiés

On Tuesday we went on an excursion to Lavapiés by underground. It was a great visit
but the heat was a great inconvenience. We walked a lot but it was all worth it.
It was a visit to the Lavapiés neighbourhood to see something more than urban art. The color of its streets and the multicultural atmosphere of the neighborhood transform a piece of Madrid into an open-air museum that shows the cultural greatness of the new generations; the use of graffiti as an expression.
The best work for me was the face of the monkey because recycling plastics were used,  giving it a very real look.
Other works stand out for their realism, others for their size or the combination of
colors and others because of what they convey, so many claim graffiti as protest art.
